State Leagues in the News

Jeff Pale, Wisconsin 7th District State Senator says in the Bay View Compass is proud to report a 100% score from the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters.

Eleven times since the 1920s, San Francisco voters have had their say on public power. And 11 times, they've voted it down. They believe the 12th try on the Nov. 4 ballot will finally be their chance.

California seeks to curb sprawl; environmentalists agree to water down stringent protections to undeveloped land originally in the bill, but say the final result is an improvement over existing protection laws. "California made sprawl famous. The bill will turn the corner away from sprawl," said Tom Adams, board president of the California League of Conservation Voters.
