LCV in the News

LCV President Gene Karpinski commented on Sarah Palin’s energy policy following Thursday’s debate, saying “If your mapmaker still believes the world is flat, you don’t rely on her for good directions. If your candidate doesn’t believe in the causes of global warming, you don’t rely on her for real energy solutions.”

Dirty-Dozen member Bob Shaffer is meeting stiff opposition from LCV-endorsed Mark Udall in Colorado.

This blogger rates the League of Conservation Voters as one of the best places to go for information on environmental issues.

Vice President Cheney claimed that President Bush has championed wildlife preservation, but the LCV correctly concludes that the Bush administration “has arguably been the most anti-environmental in our nation’s history.”

The Vermont League of Conservation Voters released their Environmental Scorecard last week, evaluating legislators’ voting records on environmental issues over the past two years.
