In a National Journal survey of the win-loss records of 21 interest groups' candidate endorsements, LCV was #5 when Winning %, Senate W-L, and House W-L were taken into account.

Environmental organizations focus campaigns to target competitive races. LCV is committed to obtaining a 60-vote pro-environment majority in the Senate.
The Virginia League of Conservation Voters released their 9th annual scorecard. State Legislatures improve since last year, and Del. Shannon Valentine, representing Lynchburg, receives a perfect score.
John McCain continues to falsely declare that he is an environmentalist. He scored a 0% in 2007 and has a lifetime LCV score of 24%.
