Thank You for Getting Involved

We receive a lot of e-mail from LCV.org viewers just like you who check out our site, donate to the cause and take action by signing petitions and writing letters to the editor. While we're not able to respond to every email in a timely fashion, we are able to use this space as a forum for those of you who have supported us.

Check out a couple of recent letters submitted by our members:

A chance to take action

Dear LCV Supporter,

Earlier this month, President Bush announced that he wants to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling by 2010. This refuge protects Arctic polar bears, whose survival is already being threatened by rapidly melting ice and trophy hunting. Oil drilling would be a final life-threatening blow to the polar bear population.

We've got to stop this – and that's why we're partnering up with our friends at CREDO Action from Working Assets to urge Congress to block Bush and protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge forever.

I hope you'll take action today to help stop Bush's plan. Thanks for everything you do.

Santa Claus Goes Green

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Even St. Nick is getting into the act: Santa Claus was among those who rallied outside of St. Anselm College last night in support of further global warming prevention.

Check out this article from the Worcester Telegram & Gazette to see how the jolly old elf is joining forces with LCV volunteers to
provide a presence at the presidential candidate events to put pressure on them to address the problem of global warming.
